This year The FA Women’s Cup Final is set to get the X Factor treatment as leading boy band The Risk have been confirmed to perform at the showpiece fixture in the women’s football calendar.
The band will take the stage before the eagerly anticipated clash between Chelsea LFC and Birmingham City LFC taking place at Bristol City’s Ashton Gate Stadium on Saturday 26th May.
The Risk were the highest placed boy band of the 2011 X Factor series and have just completed a sell-out UK tour alongside X Factor winners Little Mix and many of the other acts.
The boys, Derry, Andrew, Charlie and Ashford, are all massive football fans and are sure to wow the crowd with a selection of hit songs from the show.
The Risk said: “We all love football and are really looking forward to the match. It’s a real honour for us and we're very proud to be performing at The FA Women's Cup Final. It’s sure to be a great day out for all the family so get yourself along to cheer on the girls and come and see us perform.”
This year’s Final is set to be one to watch as both clubs are looking to win the trophy for the very first time.
As a club, Birmingham City has never reached an FA Cup Final so the ladies will be competing for a place in the club’s history.
However, they will be sure to face a stern test from a Chelsea side eager to complete a hat trick of cup final wins having already picked up the men’s FA Cup and FA Youth Cup trophies.
Tickets for the music and football extravaganza are on sale now, priced at £5 for adults and £2.50 for children, OAP’s and disabled fans (carers go for free) or £10 for a family of four.
Fans are encouraged to secure their seats early to avoid disappointment.
To get your hands on tickets call the Bristol City ticket office on 0117 963 0600, go online to www.eticketing.co.uk/bristolcityfc
or visit the Ashton Gate Stadium in person.
NOTE: Charter Standard Clubs can still apply for FA Women's Cup Final tickets with an extended deadline of Friday May 18th. Don't miss out on this great day out for you and your club.

On Saturday 3rd December we are running our next football festival for under 9 girls.
We are reaching out to all clubs to help develop this age group so please ask within your clubs to see if you have any players interested.
All games are played in a friendly format and even if you cannot field a full team that's okay - just bring what players you have and we'll combine players to make teams.
For more information please contact David Bowcock by email
