The magazine will be available to purchase individually from the website on Monday 21st May – She Kicks Shop.

Nominations for the third annual FA Community Awards, presented by McDonalds are now open. The awards aim to recognise and reward the people and organisations that offer their time and skills to ensure their club or league is properly run, and in turn driving grassroots football within their community.
The Berks & Bucks FA is calling on people from across the county for nominations for the eight award categories so that they can be recognised for their achievements. The eight award categories are listed below, but be quick the deadline for all nominations is Friday 11th May.
The eight award categories are:
• Outstanding Contribution Award
• The FA Charter Standard Community Club Award
• The FA Charter Standard Development Club Award
• The FA Charter Standard Club Award
• The FA Charter Standard League Award
• Volunteer of the Year Award
• Young Volunteer of the Year Award
• Coach of the Year Award

| 24th Mar 2012 | - | Cup Final Day Reports |
The inaugural BCGFL League Cup Finals day took place on the 24th March, a surprisingly sunny
Saturday, at Kensington Road Recreation Ground. A great time was had by all, with twelve teams
playing six closely contested finals whilst displaying a great standard of football across the League.
The U12 Divison 1 final started the day with Caversham AFC White Swans and Wokingham &
Emmbrook finishing 1-1 after full-time. Both goalkeepers made saves in the penalty shootout but
Wokingham and Emmbrook prevailed 2-1 to claim the first trophy of the day.
Laurel Park Starz and Reading Girls met in the U10s final with Laurel Park taking the trophy after a 3-
2 win. The U16s final took place between Maidenhead Girls and Wargrave with Maidenhead winning
1-0. AFC Charvil and Reading Girls contested the U11s final with AFC Charvil winning 1-0.
Theale Tigers and AFC Warfield drew 1-1 after full-time in the U14s 7-a-side final. Theale scored in
extra-time to seal the 2-1 win. Tilehurst Panthers claimed the last trophy of the day with a 3-2 win
over Sandhurst Town Girls in the U12s Division 2 final.
The League would like to say a big thank you to all of the clubs, players, coaches, officials, spectators
and volunteers who helped to make the day an outstanding success.

In an excellent showcase for the Berkshire County Girls Football League; Caversham AFC won the Berks & Bucks F.A. Under 14 County Cup final defeating Laurel Park 1-0.

| 22nd Feb 2012 | - | Reading FC are now recruiting for their Girls 16-19 Academy |
Reading Football Club, in association with the John Madejski Academy, is now recruiting their next intake of Girls, aged 16–19, for their elite Football Studies course.
Renowned for developing female footballers, this course also supports females through their post-16 studies. Alongside the professional football environment, the Academy offers the opportunity to study a range of Advanced Level and BTEC subjects. Study subjects on offer include: Physical Education, Psychology, Sociology, Maths, History, Biology, BTEC Sport and many more.
This course is a full-time programme for females who want a student/athlete lifestyle, who are looking for a career in football or who have a passion for football and would love to study alongside training and playing on a daily basis.
Trial dates are:
Tuesday 28th February 5:00pm – 6:30pm
Tuesday 13th March 5:00pm – 6:30pm
Tuesday 27th March 5:00pm – 6:30pm (Final Trial and interviews)
All trials will be held at John Madejski Academy, 125 Hartland Road, Reading, RG2 8AF on 3G (no metal studs please).

Reminder that all clubs must have the minimum number of players registered BEFORE midnight on the 31st August. Minimum numbers are 7 for a 7-a-side team, 9 for a 9-a-side team and 11 for an 11-a-side team. If you do not have the minimum number of players registered before the 31st of August you will not be eligible to play your first fixture and you may incure a fine in accordance with rule 10F.
